We inspire and support optometrists to achieve excellence in their practice, always for the benefit of patients - and Fellowship of the College (FCOptom) is an acknowledgement of outstanding professionals and their commitment to the profession, experience and accomplishments. 

The College recognises the outstanding achievements of individuals who have made a significant contribution to the profession of optometry, through the awarding of Life and Honorary Fellowship (FCOptom). Life Fellowship is awarded to members of the College, while Honorary Fellowship is awarded to individuals who are working within eye healthcare but are not eligible for College membership.

Candidates are nominated by their fellow professionals. Calls for nominations are made in the spring each year when the nomination form is available on the College website. For more information email ceo.office@college-optometrists.org.
