The Benevolent Fund, set up by The College of Optometrists and the Association of Optometrists (AOP), provides short or long term financial support for any member, past or present, of the UK optical profession and their dependents.

College members can apply for financial support for an immediate crisis such as an unexpected bill, to purchase equipment to meet your specific needs, or to supplement your income on an ongoing basis. The Fund can also put you in touch with agencies that help with financial management or debt counselling, drug and alcohol services.
