Liverpool hosts the largest OSCEs since the examinations restarted post-COVID

The October 2024 OSCE have now finished with 430 candidates completing their examinations.

Completing the OSCE marks a key point in an optometrist’s path to qualifying, giving candidates the opportunity to showcase their expertise in a variety of clinical scenarios. The Royal College of Physicians' northern venue in Liverpool’s intricately designed Spine building was a great venue to host this important stage.

The College would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the OSCEs. Our dedicated team of examiners and staff worked tirelessly to ensure the examinations ran smoothly, and we are extremely grateful for their efforts and expertise.

We commend all candidates for their hard work and preparation, and we wish them the best of luck as they await their results, which will be released on 8 November 2024.

Once published, candidates can access their results by logging into their My College area. Further information is available on our OSCE results page.

The next OSCE, set to take place in London, will run from 7 January – 23 January 2025. We encourage all future candidates to stay informed about the relevant OSCE dates, and ensure they are fully prepared for their assessments.

We look forward to welcoming the new cohort of optometrists to the profession in November!
