We have received several questions from members relating to managing effective relationships, both with other colleagues in practice and with professionals elsewhere, in situations ranging from managing a patient complaint and spectacle intolerances to ensuring a shared understanding of a myopia management patient plan. Effective communication between healthcare professionals is critical to ensuring that service users receive the best possible care; however, the reality is that this is easier said than done.
