This case study shows how selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) resulted in an improvement in ocular symptoms in a patient with ocular surface disease secondary to treatment for glaucoma.
In this case study, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) treatment, carried out by an optometrist in an NHS hospital outpatient clinic, resulted in an improvement in ocular symptoms in a patient with ocular surface disease secondary to treatment for glaucoma. The report also shows how SLT can lower intraocular pressure. Details on SLT treatment are given to improve understanding about the advantages of SLT, and the role that optometrists can have in giving this treatment.
