Effective patient communication is key to resolving challenging situations
As an optometrist you will come across difficult situations every day. It may be a challenging clinical problem, managerial issues or running to time. The most difficult situations often fall into two categories: patients with difficult personalities or with specific communication needs. This article will look at how to manage these challenging situations. It will not discuss basic communication skills in detail but will address how to adapt these skills to particular scenarios.
