We are an independent practice delivering the highest standards in eye care through clinical excellence, and continued investment in the latest technology. We have a bespoke shared care service provision with our local Hospital, NHS Highland and GG&C. Established over 35 years ago, covering the Kintyre peninsula, Donald and Katrina Barr have grown the practice to a team of four optometrists and five support staff. Accommodation will be provided with the role. This is an exceptional opportunity to experience all aspects of primary care, triage and emergency eye care.

You will have a wide range of clinical experience in your pre-reg year, with your clinical encounters increasing in frequency and complexity as the year progresses. We have on site glazing, allowing an in-depth dispensing experience. You will have a minimum of 3 days of sight test clinics designed to support the 75 Stage 1 patient encounter types, and time within the week to complete your logbook, and reflective accounts. You will have an experienced principal supervisor and secondary supervisors with a range of clinical and pre-reg expertise.
