Here we summarise three research papers from a recent issue of Optometry in Practice.

Optometry practice in the UK in 2020 during COVID-19

A summary of the key findings of the recent Nagra et al survey (2021), highlighting how optometric practice has changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Challenges identified include how to ensure safe working practices and how to continue to provide a comprehensive service and navigate the financial implications. Benefits of refined pathways, streamlined services, increased skill acquisition, improved professional relationships and implications for future practice are also discussed.
